System design
1. Single-use scope - insertion tube, camera, LED illumination and extra-large working channel; sterile, single-patient use, discarded after the procedure.
2. Reusable integrated display - mounted in the unit, giving immediate image viewing without an external monitor, computer or smartphone, and with no external cable that could become contaminated.
The two parts are handled separately: the scope is discarded, the display is wiped down and reused.
Key features
Built-in display; no external monitor, PC or smartphone needed
Single-use, sterile scope: no reprocessing, no residual contamination risk
Reusable display shared across multiple scopes
High-resolution camera with built-in LED illumination
Articulating insertion tube with a bending life of 6,000 cycles
Bullet-shaped tip for smooth insertion
Extra-large working channel for easy diagnosis and treatment
Ergonomic handle for single-handed control
Clinical benefits
Eliminates cross-contamination risk - the patient-contacting scope is never reused
Lower cost per procedure - only the scope is consumed; the display cost is amortised across many procedures
No reprocessing bottleneck - ready to use straight from the pack
Reduced electronic waste - the display is retained rather than discarded each time
Truly standalone - no cables, external boxes or extra hardware at the ICU bedside or in the emergency room
Indications
Adult respiratory patients - pneumonia, lung cancer, COPD
Paediatric patients requiring gentle airway evaluation
Immunocompromised individuals at high infection risk
Patients with suspected airway foreign bodies or airway trauma
Clinical settings
ICU - airway management in ventilated patients
Emergency department - acute respiratory distress and foreign body assessment
Operating room - thoracic surgery and perioperative airway checks
Infectious disease ward - prevention of cross-infection
Outpatient clinic - routine and follow-up bronchoscopy
